And unlike the shell-and-tube heat exchanger, a large space needs to be reserved for pulling out the tube bundle for maintenance. The plate heat exchanger only needs to loosen the clamping screw, and it can be in 100% contact with the surface of the heat exchange plate in the original space range, which is convenient for disassembly and assembly and cleaning. Small size and light weight, easy to install in a small space. Through the above analysis and comparison, it can be seen that the plate heat exchanger has many advantages over the shell and tube heat exchanger. In addition, the plate heat exchanger has the following advantages.
(1) Small temperature difference
Because the plate heat exchanger has a high heat transfer coefficient and strong turbulence, after flowing heat exchange in the heat exchanger, the temperature difference between the primary and secondary hot water of the heat exchanger can be small, and sometimes the temperature difference can be Nearly 1 ℃ ~ 3 ℃. This can greatly increase the thermal efficiency and improve the economy of the heat exchange equipment.
(2) Small heat loss
Because the edge of the plate and the surrounding gasket are exposed to the atmosphere, the heat loss is extremely small, generally about 1%, and no insulation measures are required. In the case of the same heat exchange area, the heat exchange loss of the plate heat exchanger is only 1 to 5 of the shell and tube heat exchanger, and the weight is less than half of the shell and tube heat exchanger.
(3) Strong adaptability
On the one hand, when assembling the heat exchanger, according to the output and process requirements, it is convenient to increase or decrease the heat transfer plates, or rearrange the plates, and re-select the process combination. On the other hand, the adaptability is also reflected in its use. Plate heat exchangers are widely used. At present, they are widely used in various engineering fields such as chemical industry, machinery, cement, petroleum, electricity, hot water heating, etc. In the process of heating, cooling, evaporation, condensation, waste heat recovery, etc., the application purpose is achieved by performing heat exchange between the media in the plate heat exchanger.
(4) Flexible operation and convenient maintenance
Heat transfer plates and movable compression plates are hung on the beam of the machine. There is a rolling device above the compression plates, which can be easily opened for cleaning, and a plate can be taken out for inspection or gasket replacement.
By comparing shell-and-tube and plate heat exchangers, the following conclusions can be drawn: the heat transfer efficiency of the plate heat exchanger is high, the volume is small, and the weight is easy to disassemble.
