Titanium is usually the first choice for seawater cooling heat exchangers, because titanium has excellent corrosion resistance even in aerated seawater, and has high strength and low density.
This means it can resist reducing or oxidizing environments, with or without chlorides, and temperatures up to 650ºC. In addition to its extremely high corrosion resistance, titanium also has excellent resistance to pitting, crevices and stress corrosion.
We have titanium plate P26 in our warehouse.
For applications with seawater, the plate heat exchangers can also be suppliedwith titanium heat transfer plates.Various stamp designs can cater for heavily contaminated or high viscosity fluidsto suit particular applications, or even if the temperature difference between the hotand cold medium is only minimal.
If your ship needs to replace the plate heat exchanger
