Mainly manifested as leakage (small amount, continuous water droplets) and leakage (large amount, continuous water droplets). The main parts of the external leakage are the seal between the plates and the plates, the position of the second sealing leakage groove of the plates, and the inside of the end plates and the compression plate.
The causes of
1. The clamping size is not in place, the size is not uniform everywhere (the size deviation should not be greater than 3mm) or the clamping bolt is loose.
2. Part of the gasket is separated from the sealing groove, the main sealing surface of the gasket is dirty, the gasket is damaged or the gasket is aging.
3. The plate is deformed and the assembly is misplaced to cause the running mat.
4. There is a crack in the plate sealing groove or the second sealing area.

Example: Many thermal power stations in Beijing, Qinghai, Xinjiang and other places use saturated steam as the primary heat source for heating. Due to the high steam temperature, the rubber gasket fails at high temperature when the system is unstable at the initial stage of equipment operation Steam leaks.
Approach
1. Re-clamp the equipment according to the clamping size provided by the manufacturer in a pressure-free state. The size should be uniform and the deviation of the compression size should not exceed ± 0.2N (mm) (N. is the total number of plates) The parallelism between the compression plates should be kept within 2 mm.
2. Make a mark on the external leakage part, and then disassemble the heat exchanger and check and solve it one by one, reassemble or replace the gasket and plate.
3. Disassemble the open heat exchanger and repair or replace the deformed parts of the plates. When there is no spare part of the plate, the plate at the deformed part can be temporarily removed and then reassembled for use.
4. When reassembling the disassembled board, clean the board surface to prevent dirt from adhering to the gasket sealing surface.
